LAHORE, April 17 Wapda and Navy are set to clash in the final of the 45th National Volleyball Championship, after winning their respective semi-finals in Sialkot.

The major upset in the semi-final, was witnessed when defending champions Pakistan Air Force (PAF) tasted defeat at the hands of Wapda in three sets.

Wapda earned the easy victory with score 25-23, 25-14 and 25-20 as PAF put up a dismal display.

In the second pre-final, Navy upset a strong Army team after a nail-biting finish which stretched to the fifth set. The match lasted two hours and 24 minutes.

In the first set Army spikers took the lead through powerful spikes to win at 25-23. Navy, however, caught up the rivals winning the second set at 25-16 to make it 1-1. Navy took the 2-1 lead winning the third one 25-18. But Army again fought back winning the fourth 25-22 as it was two-all, before Navy clinched the fifth set 15-7 to complete the win.
