Women badminton from 30th

KARACHI, Dec 22 The second edition of All Pakistan Women badminton championship will be held at the Karachi Club Badminton Hall from Dec 30 to Jan 2, organisers announced on Monday.

Seven teams -- Wapda, Punjab, NBP, NWFP, Balochistan, Railways and Sindh -- will vie in the championship carrying Rs45,000 prize money.

Team, singles and doubles events will be contested in the championship.

Ayesha Akram will defend her singles title while Palwasha Bashir and Ayesha will defend their doubles crown.—APP
