HYDERABAD, Feb 6 Leader of the Sindh People's Youth Organisation Ahsan Abro has appealed to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of the alleged 'sale' of government jobs by the leadership of the Hyderabad chapter of the Pakistan People's Party.

In a statement issued here on Friday, he said that in order to accomplish the party's mission, the government was providing jobs to the educated youth in different departments. However, in Hyderabad, opportunist elements within the PPP were violating the orders of the Sindh chief minister, who had directed that jobs should be given purely on merit, Mr Abro said.

The leaders, he alleged, were selling appointments in violation of merit and justice. He appealed to the Sindh chief minister to take serious notice of this matter without delay.

QASIMABAD Sindh United Party leader Dr Dodo Maheri has expressed his concern over the poor condition of Qasimabad taluka and alleged that the nazims and councillors were doing nothing at all for the improvement of the taluka.

He said that roads and streets were being destroyed, sewage was overflowing on the streets and filth could be seen strewn all over in Qasimabad taluka.

He said that during the last 15 years, not a single government school had been established in Qasimabad.
