LARKANA: Killed in accident

LARKANA, April 22: A man, Abdul Waheed Sariyo, died on the spot and two people were injured in an accident in Larkana on Monday.

The man who was riding a motorcycle rammed his motorcycle against a bridge while negotiating a sharp turn near the Bagi Bridge on the Airport Road, some 30 kms off here.

Both the injured were admitted to the Chandka Medical College Teaching Hospital.

The Waleed police station on Monday has registered an FIR against a sub-inspector of the police posted at the Crime Registration Office, Larkana, for committing a robbery.

Mohammad Ali Shaikh in his complaint alleged that the SI, police, Abdul Malik Bhutto, came along with some policemen at his shop on Saturday on the instigation of a man, Mohammed Saleh Abbasi, and not only beat him up but also snatched Rs4,600 from him and took away certain materials from his shop.

JAILED: The DPO, Larkana, on Monday suspended and jailed an assistant sub-inspector and the driver of police mobile van on charges of negligence.

The ASI, incharge of the Bakrani police station, and the driver had avoided giving their exact location to the DPO the previous night.
