KARACHI, Oct 20 The University of Karachi on Tuesday declared results of MA (final) external annual exams 2008.

According to a notification issued by the university, in Islamic History, Noor Jehan, daughter of Abdul Karim, roll number 84030, secured 611 marks out of 1000 and secured the first position.

Arsala Mehar, daughter of Mohammad Meharban, roll number 84015, and Lubna Jameel daughter of Mohammad Jameel, roll 84023, got 580 marks and both shared the second position.

Sobia, daughter of Iqbal, roll number 84033, came third with 537 marks.

Only two candidates passed in first division, 74 candidates passed in second division and five candidates passed in third division.

Only ten candidates cleared the final year.

BSc home economics

The university declared results of BSc (home economics) second year annual examinations 2009.

According to results, only two candidates passed in first division, 45 passed in second division, 12 passed in third division while only ten cleared the second year.—PPI
