QUETTA At least eight passengers were killed and four others injured, two of them seriously, when a passenger wagon turned turtle on the coastal highway in Gwadar district, on Friday.

According to police sources, a Pasni-bound passenger wagon coming from port city of Gwadar flipped over near Nalat area on the coastal highway.

As a result, eight passengers were killed on the spot while four others received injuries. Police rushed to site after receiving information about the incident and shifted bodies and injured to civil hospital Gwadar.

The cause of incident was over speeding, a senior police officer confirmed to Dawn when reached over telephone.
