HANGU At least five tribesmen were killed in an ambush by militants in the Torawari area of Hangu on Thursday.

According to details, the Manji Khel tribe had formed a tribal lashkar to go after the militants who kidnapped three tribesmen from Mianji Khel area, some 25 kilometers from Hangu.

The lashkar was ambushed when it reached near Torawari area. Militants fired rockets and sprayed gunfire on tribesmen, killing five of them and injuring seven others. Four vehicles of the lashkar were also destroyed in the attack.
