NEW DELHI India's boxing federation revoked the suspension of four-time women's world champion M.C. Marykom on Wednesday after she apologised for her outburst alleging biased judging during the national championships, AP reported.

Marykom was suspended Monday for 'unsporting behavior' following her loss in the quarter-finals of the national championships in the eastern city of Jamshedpur.

P.K. Muralidhar Raja, general secretary of the Indian Boxing Federation, said Marykom apologized to the jury members Wednesday, after which the federation decided to revoke her suspension.

Press Trust of India quoted Raja as saying that federation considered her outburst as 'heat of the moment reaction.'

Marykom is the 46-kilogram world champion.

Boxing officials earlier said Marykom would not be allowed to compete until the complaint against her was considered by the IBF's general assembly on Oct. 27.

Marykom was reported to have made derogatory comments about the judges after losing to young boxer Pinky Jingra - in a bout whose winner was judged by the jury after a 15-15 draw on points.

She has won the world title in four out of five championships and is considered India's best candidate for winning a medal in the 2012 Olympics, when women fighters will make their first appearance.
