MITHI, April 18: Two persons were killed and 17 others injured as a pickup overturned near Sainsar village, 12km off here on Thursday.

A Datsun pickup (ZBT-2359) carrying farm labourers belonging to Kolhi and Bheel communities, coming from Sanghar, turned turtle on a huge and steep sand dune.

As a result, Gajo Kolhi, 50, and Neto Bheel, 55, died on the spot whereas 17 others, including eight women and a child, were injured.

Some of the injured told journalists at the Civil Hospital here that they were returning with their families and harvested wheat to their villages when the accident took place.—BoC
