MULTAN, April 17: Two children died from burn wounds while their father received serious injuries on Thursday when their house caught fire reportedly due to short electric circuit in Peoples Colony.

Hawker Ameer Hussain and his family were asleep when their house engulfed with flames. As a result, Ameer Hussain, his minor son Meraj and daughter Saleh Bibi received severe burn wounds. Meraj and Saleh died on the way to hospital while the condition of their father was stated to be critical in hospital.

Fire brigade, however, extinguished the fire before it could spread to other houses.

In another accident, Muhammad Ibraheem was killed near Dunyapur in Lodhran district when a bus at high speed hit his car on way to Jehania. The deceased was returning from the urs of Pir Jeewan Shah in Kehror Pucca along with his friends Bilal, Shahid, Akram and Razi. They also sustained injuries and were admitted to the Nishtar Hospital.

RESULTS: The Bahauddin Zakariya University on Thursday declared the results of MSc psychology (part-I) first annual examinations, 2002.

Around 97 candidates took part in the examinations. Of them, 70 were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 77.78.
