KOHAT, Dec 6: The governor of NWFP has held the leaders of religious extremists organizations directly responsible for the killing of Pakistanis inside Afghanistan who were misled and instigated to fight their fellow Muslims in the name of Jihad.

He said that the “leaders” who have safely returned back to Pakistan have in fact fled Jihad leaving behind hundreds of youth who were languishing in jails there or were already massacred during the clashes between the Taliban and forces of the northern alliance.

He regretted that these so-called leaders of the Islamic groups have also put the country in an extremely awkward position by giving an impression that of a lawless and “terrorists” country about Pakistan in the West.

He vowed to take strict action against those involved in the illogical and wild extremists activities in the country in the name of Islam or Jihad and snatching beloved kith and kin of poor families by pushing them into the internal strife in Afghanistan.
