PESHAWAR, Dec 6: The provincial president, Awami National Party (ANP), Begum Nasim Wali Khan, has hailed the power-sharing deal among Afghans and termed the agreement a first step towards lasting peace in Afghanistan.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, she congratulated the delegates of the Bonn moot for signing the ‘historic accord’and also appreciated   the efforts of German government and the United Nations.

Begum Wali said the people of Afghanistan could not afford more destruction and casualties. She hoped that the UN and international community would participate in reconstructing Afghanistan.
