Adabi Sangat`s awards

HYDERABAD, Jan 26 Following the decision made by the judges, the award committee of the Sindhi Adabi Sangat at a meeting announced literary awards for the year 2008.

Anis Ansari story award was announced for “Khawaban Ji Sarhad”, written by Munawar Siraj, Professor Faiz Mohammad Phull biography award for “Kawi Ji Katha” by Sooz Halai, children literature award for Ghulam Mohammad Ghazi's “Bhimbhori,” research award for Dr Kamal Jamro's “Sindhu Ja Geet”, novel award for Farooq Solangi's “Wikherial Manhron”, poetry award for Ayaz Amar Shaikh's “Sindh Jo Chand,” translation award for Hakim Ali Shah Bukhari's “Aap Beeti Jag Beeti,” Shah Latif research award for Dr Basheer Ahmed Shad's “Shah Latif Har Daur Jo Shayer” and special shield was announced for Ms Parveen Musa Memon for her research work “Uthi Rao Rail.”

Murad Ali Mirza, Altaf Shaikh, Dr Qasim Bughio, Dr Noor Afroze Khwaja, Dr Anwar Figar Hakro, Akbar Soomro, Pervez, Rasool Bux Dars, Aasi Zamini, Sami Baloch, Ishaq Samejo, Manzoor Kohiyar, Naseer Mirza, Manthar Solangi and Ishaq Ansari acted as the judges.
