Compensation for Jakhranis

SUKKUR, April 15: Some Bugti tribesmen have negotiated with the Jakhrani tribe for paying compensation for the death of a Jakhrani tribesman and injuries to another in the Kashmore killing, it is learnt.

According to sources, influential persons of the Bugti tribe had told the Jakhranis that they were ready to pay compensation money for the death of Hair Din Jakhrani and injuries to Abdul Majeed Jakhrani.

Fourteen persons were killed, 18 injured and eight kidnapped by assailants in Kashmor on March 31.

The identity of the assialants has not yet been esablished.

ROBBERIES: Armed bandits looted passengers of a bus near the Kandhkot bypass on Tuesday.

The bandits intercepted the Dad Mohammad Sohriyani village-bound bus and deprived its passengers of cash, wristwatches and other things.

In an other incident, two armed robbers robbed a man, Darshan Lal, of Rs80,000 in Kandhkot.

He was on way to a bank to deposit the cash when the robbers intercepted and robbed him.
