Baloch for Musharraf`s trial

Published March 23, 2009

LAHORE, March 22 Jamaat-i-Islami deputy chief Liaquat Baloch on Sunday laid stress on initiation of proceedings against former military dictator Pervez Musharraf for his unconstitutional steps.

In his letters to presidents of Supreme Court, high court and district bars, Baloch said “Restoration of the constitution to Oct 12, 1999 position, implementation of a Supreme Court verdict against the Nov 3, 2007 emergency, implementation of a unanimous parliamentary resolution against the military operation in tribal areas, recovery of missing persons, initiation of court proceedings against the National Reconciliation Order and promotion of a democratic culture in the country were the real challenges.” —Staff Reporter
