Taxation pact

KARACHI, April 14: The President of Pakistan Japan Business Forum (PJBF), Farrukh Sheikh, has urged the government to enter into a pact on priority basis for avoidance of double taxation with Japan.

In a statement issued on Monday, the PJBF chief said once the pact was signed it would increase Japanese investment in the country.

The forum, he said was also looking forward to a decision of Pakistan’s participation in World Expo 2005, being held in Nagoya, Japan from March to September 2005.
