QUETTA, April 13: The provincial government has withdrawn the powers of the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) regarding recruitment of employees in government departments from grade 11 to 16.
The commission sources, confirming the decision of the provincial government, informed the candidates who had applied for different posts of grade 11 to 16 through the BPSC that after the withdrawal of selection powers their applications had been sent to concerned departments for further action.
The commission officials asked the candidates who had applied for information officers, article writers and other posts of various departments to contact the concerned authorities for further information in this regard.
The officials of the BPSC did not disclose the reason for withdrawal of its powers.
However, other sources said the powers of the BPSC were withdrawn in view of the provincial cabinet’s decision empowering the government departments for appointing employees from grade 11 to 16.
The provincial ministers and secretaries of the departments are now enjoying the powers of appointing employees in the six grades. The BPSC now will conduct examinations and interviews for the vacant posts of grade 17 and above.
