Five killed in clash

MIRPURKHAS, Jan 18 Five people were killed and six suffered injuries in a clash between two groups of Kaimkhani and Jatt communities over a petty dispute in Tando Jan Mohammad on Monday.

Shopkeepers pulled down shutters in Tando Jan Mohammad and its adjoining Digri town in the wake of tragic incident.

The dispute started when two motorcyclists collided in Khuda Bux Colony and motorcycle riders belonging to the two groups exchanged hot words followed by the clash. Amanullah Jatt and Sanaullah Jatt, both brothers, Sajid Jatt and Babar Kaimkhani died on the spot and one Talib died in a Hyderabad hospital.

Habibullah, Mohammad Ayoub, Talib Kaimkhani, Ghulam Murtaza, Faisal and 8-year-old Usama suffered injuries.

Policemen were deployed in the two towns to avert further bloodshed. —Correspondent
