FAISALABAD, April 13: A group of people gave a sound thrashing to the members of a Tehsil Municipal Administration (city) team in Malkhanwala here on Sunday.
TMA land officer Ghulam Rasool along with his staff raided some houses in Malkhanwala and tried to arrest some persons for violating the ban on keeping milch animals in the city.
However, the area people encircled the team members and gave them a sound thrashing.
The TMA officials informed the Rescue-15 and the police rushed to the spot and arrested Mohammed Mansha, Younas, Akram and Noor Mohammed.
The TMA team also fined them and impounded 34 buffaloes and cows.
ARRESTED: Jaranwala police arrested two lady smugglers and recovered two kilograms of hashish from their possession here on Saturday night.
The police raided a house in Chak 60-GB and arrested Sadia Parveen with one kilo hashish.
In another raid, Barkat Bibi was arrested from Chak 62-GB also with one kilo hashish.
SHOT DEAD: A security guard, Zubair Khan, was shot dead allegedly by the owner of a security agency, Umer Khan, over a petty dispute in Ghulam Mohammedabad here on Sunday.
