KARACHI, April 13: Sindh Chief Minister Sardar Ali Mohammed Khan Mehar and federal minister for investment and privatisation, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, on Sunday held a meeting to review the prospects for investment in the province.
The meeting was informed that possibilities of investment in Sindh would be deliberated in an international investment conference, being held in Islamabad on April 19-20.
It was observed that there existed vast opportunities of investment in various sectors in the province including, agriculture, livestock, dairy farming and mineral development besides in developing tourist resorts at Gorakh Hills, Hawkesbay beach, Banbhore, Moenjodaro, Rani Kot, Manchar and Kenjhar lakes, etc.
The federal minister asked the officials to prepare guideline papers for presentation in the investment conference.
The meeting was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Ghulam Sarwar Kerio, provincial minister Dr Saeeda Malik and other officials.—APP
