LAHORE, July 28 Jamila Noor Jalib, the daughter of renowned revolutionary poet Habib Jalib, died at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) on Tuesday.

According to her family, the 41-year-old was taken to LGH after brain hemorrhage over a week ago where she expired at around 1030am on Tuesday.

Her sister Tahira Habib Jalib told Dawn that she had left behind two daughters and a son. She said that her sister died because of severe tension as her husband Mansoor-ul-Hasan had been jobless for the last many years. “My sister, brother-in-law and her children have been living at her mother's place for around 12 years for they had no other place to live,” she added.

Tahira said that a property dispute with elder brother Nasir Jalib also multiplied her sister's tension. Jamila was buried at Shah Farid graveyard, Sabzazar, near her father's grave.

Her qul will be held at House No.56-A, Qayyum Block, Mustafa Town, Wahdat Road, at 9am on Wednesday (today).
