PESHAWAR, April 12: The recent arrest of Azam Khan Hoti by the Accountability Court of Attock, has delayed the central presidentship of Ajmal Khattak of Awami National Party, well-informed source said here on Saturday.

Mr Hoti, was the main source between Wali Bagh (Rehbar-i-Tehreek Khan Abdul Wali Khan) and Ajmal Khan Khattak, to make him central president of Awami National Party after quitting as chief of National Awami Party Pakistan.

The source informed that Wali Khan had agreed with Ajmal Khattak to make him central president. However, an influential group within the ANP, was not interested in Ajmal Khattak and is opposing his candidacy.—PPI
