DADU, Feb 9 Complete strike was observed in Dadu, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Sita Road towns and their adjoining areas on a call given by the Pakistan People's Party in protest against police refusal to file an FIR about Friday's incident and nab the culprits.

PPP leaders accuse the guards of Karim Ali Jatoi, son of PML-Q leader and former federal minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi, of opening fire on party workers and injuring a TV journalist, a newspaper reporter and another unidentified man.

The incident sparked an exchange of fire between the workers of two parties and as a result PPP worker Shahjehan Qureshi was killed and two people were injured.

Shahjehan's uncle, Aslam Qureshi had field a petition in the district and session court accusing Sadaqat Jatoi and PML leaders of firing on PPP workers. The judge ordered SHO and TPO to appear in court on Feb 12.

PML leaders dismissed PPP leaders' claims as allegations and accused them of inciting attack on PML workers.
