LAHORE Pakistani spikers lost their first match in a closely-fought encounter against archrivals India by three games to two in the second stage of 2010 World Cup Volleyball qualification on Monday.

According to details made available, both teams fought hard throughout the match and the Indians clinched a narrow win in five sets, 25-18, 24-26, 20-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Prior to this encounter, Pakistan were cruising through their qualification matches.
