KARACHI The Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) has extended an invitation to British World Light Welterweight Boxing Champion Amir Iqbal Khan as a special guest during the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Tournament scheduled to take place in Karachi.

 

The invitation to the boxing prodigy of Pakistani origin was extended through a telephone call made by PBF Chief Doda Khan Bhutto to his parents.

 

Doda Khan congratulated Amirs father Sajjad Khan on his son winning the world welteweight title recently.

 

The PBF is planning to hold the International Boxing Tournament at Expo Centre here from October 22 to 29.

 

Thirty five nations from across the globe have been invited for the event.

 

Sajjad Khan accepted the invitation on behalf of his son and told the PBF officials that Amir's availability will be confirmed by the end of August.

 

PBF boss also plans to honour Khan with a gold medal during his expected visited to Karachi.
