Teachers not paid salaries

Published December 5, 2001

NOWSHERA, Dec 4: Around 1,500 teachers in the Frontier province have not received their salaries for the last five months.

National Education Movement chairman Pir Sikandar Shah, while recording his views on Monday, termed it a very serious matter, saying that the teachers who had not received their salaries during the past five months, were facing starvation.

He appealed to President Gen Pervez Musharraf to look into the matter.

He asked the president to issue orders to the concerned quarters to immediately pay the salaries to the teachers.
