SUKKUR, Dec 4: Acting Zila Nazim Sukkur, Mr. Iqbal Dawood held a meeting with DCO and SSP Sukkur at their offices and discussed with them general law and order situation in the district. SSP Sukkur, Mr Din Muhammad Baloch, briefed him about the overall law and order situation in the district had considerably been improved due to stringent security measures taken by the police.

He said that the crime of motorcycle snatching had been decreased due to snap checking being conducted by the police at various checkpoints in the city.

The Acting Nazim expressed his satisfaction over the measures taken by Mr Baloch.

The DCO directed the traffic sergeant, Sukkur, to improve the traffic system.

He was further directed to demolish under construction shops at Shikarpur road near police line being constructed approval of building plan from the Sukkur Municipal Council.

Earlier, he called upon the DIG Sukkur Range at his office.

DEMOLISHED: Mr Pakwala personally supervised demolition of the under-construction shops at Shikarpur road on Tuesday afternoon.

According to him, the shops were being constructed without approval of building plan from the Municipal Council, Sukkur.
