BEIJING Pakistan's Haider Ali created history at the Paralympics Games when he won a silver medal in the long jump competition here on Tuesday.
Haider, who participated in the T-38 category covered 6.44 metres, which was equal to the distance covered by the gold medallist Farhat Chida from Tunisia. However, Haider did not win the gold, as one of his preliminary jumps was rejected.
Previously, Pakistan has never won a medal at the Paralympics Games.
