LAHORE, April 6: All BS-19 posts in the Government Commercial Training Institutes (GCTIs) of seven cities of the province have been downgraded to BS-18, it was learnt.

The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) has demoted the posts in Rojhan, Isa Khel, Liaquatpur, Jand, Karor, Ahmad Pur East and Jampur GCTIs.

Following the new ‘adjustments’, the GCTIs in seven small cities now have double posts of BS-18.

On the other hand, the Tevta has created seven BS-19 posts in colleges in Lahore and Faisalabad.

According to the break-up, two posts each have been given to the Government College of Commerce, Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore; and the Government College of Commerce, Faisalabad.

One post each has been given in GCTIs in Baghbanpura, Shahdara and Kot Lakhpat.

With the relocation of posts, the number of BS-19 posts have been doubled in Lahore and Faisalabad institutions.
