106kg drug seized

KOHAT, April 6: The staff of the Kohat Anti-Narcotics Force seized 106kgs of high quality drugs being smuggled to down country from Darra Adamkhel via Kohat in two separate cases during last week and arrested three smugglers, says a press release issued here on Sunday.

In the first case, the ANF squad recovered 12kg charas from Syed Yasir Shah, son of Syed Nasir Shah, a resident of Janglekhel, Kohat. He was carrying the drugs in a car.

Similarly, acting on a tip the ANF started checking on vehicles at Lachi on the Indus Highway as a result of which they seized 78kgs of charas and 16kgs of opium from a car number 2847-Peshawar.
