HYDERABAD, March 27 The office bearers of the Mehran Colony Welfare Association, New Saeedabad, district Matiari, have said that a landlord has sold out many plots of his surveyed land during the last 25 years but the plots have not been registered till date.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here, the president of the association, Dr Shahid Ali Kaimkhani, general secretary Yousuf Gul Memon and others said that the 50 residents of the colony were in possession of receipts. They, however, said that the residents were being harassed to vacate the plots as the price of land had increased.

They said that the residents were being blackmailed and added that one and the same plot was being sold to more than one party.

They appealed to the authorities concerned to protect them against the excesses of the landlord and ensure registration of the plots.
