HYDERABAD: Hesco dues

HYDERABAD, March 26 An official of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company warned defaulting consumers on Thursday that if they failed to clear their dues their power supply would be disconnected and they would have to face action under the Land Revenue Act that included auction of defaulter's properties.

Manager of operations Circle-I Muzaffar Ali Abbasi, said at a meeting of Hesco officials that consumers should identify electricity thieves and pay their dues on time to control power crisis. He said that domestic consumers owed the company Rs2.146 billion and government departments and organisations Rs3.712 billion. Notices were being issued to government organisations and special teams had been appointed to go from door to door to check the bills, he said.
