Grizzlies stun 76er

PHILADELPHIA, Dec 3: Rookies Pau Gasol and Shane Battier led the way as the Memphis Grizzlies surprised the reigning Eastern Conference champion 76ers on Sunday 93-87.

Gasol collected 20 points and 10 rebounds and Battier added 12 points as the Grizzlies (4-12) won in Philadelphia for the first time in franchise history.

The Grizzlies acquired both Gasol and Battier on draft day and have made them the cornerstones of the rebuilding process.
