SUKKUR April 3: Dacoits belonging to the gang of Sajan Suhrani fired rockets on the house of a man, Tahir Wasan, as a result of which its roof was blown off in the Bagan Soomar village, near Kandhkot, late Wednesday night.

This has been the second attack on Suhrani’s house within a month.

The dacoits left a note for the villagers asking them to give the dacoits Rs150,000 otherwise they would have to face the consequences.

The villagers informed the police, DIG operations, Sukkur Range, Ramazan Channa, about the incident. The latter assured the people that their lives would be protected.

SHC: The double bench of the Sindh High Court Sukkur upheld the decision of the Anti-Terrorism Court Sukkur and Larkana divisions in which they sentenced two accused, Rustam Shaikh and Raza Mohammed, to death by hanging and a third accused, Didar, to life imprisonment.

The high court bench, consisting of Justice Ghulam Nabi Soomro and Justice Mohammed Afzal Soomro, on March 6 dismissed the appeal of the accused and upheld the decision of the Anti-Terrorism Court for hanging of two of the accused and life imprisonment for the third.
