Asif, Usman shine for winners

LAHORE, April 2: Three goals each by Asif Yar Tiwana and Usman Abdul Hayee propelled SHV Energy to 8- 5 1/2 win against Care Knit Wear in the Musa Industries cup polo on Wednesday.

SHV got off to an impressive start scoring two goals in the first chukker against a half goal of the rivals on handicap  to take 2- 1/2 lead. Asif drew the first blood followed by Usman’s goal.

The  second chukker which was full of goals, SHV  held  their lead  5-3  1/2 as both the teams scored thrice. Azhar Ali, who in all scored two goals for the winners, Usman the remaining goals. For the losers, Dr I A Khan scored two while Ahmad Nawaz the other.

Care  Knit had staged a great comeback in the third  chukker and gained a slim half goal lead (5 1/2-5) as Dr Khan and Ahmad Nawaz scored a goal each.

But SHV went ahead in the fourth chukker as scored three goals to make the tally. Asif scored  his remaining two goals while Azhar his second.

Two goals by Capt Malik and Ahsan Javed Sher enabled Security-2000 to rout Diamond Paints 6- 2 1/2.
