4 booked for water theft

KHAIRPUR, April 2: Four growers were booked by the Kot Diji police for water theft on Wednesday.

The growers, Mukhtiar Ali Mahar, Allah Wadhayo, Taj Mohammad Brohi and Gullan Phulpoto, were found stealing water from the Sunhro Wah.

MURDER CASE: The Pir Jo Goth police on Wednesday booked 13 persons in the murder case of Hakim Ali Narijo.

Hakim Ali was killed two days back at the Pir Jo Goth bus stand.

Umed Ali, the brother of the deceased, nominated Khalid Dino, Allah Wasayo, Shabbir, Rano, Hidayatullah, Urs, Ghulam Sarwar, Faqir Mohammad, Subhan, Bahadur and three unidentified people, all by caste Jagirani, in the FIR.

Tension has prevailed in the area after the incident and a police picket has been set up in Kot Mir Mohammad Pul to avoid any untoward incident.

INJURED: Three people were injured in a clash between Jiskani and Shar tribesmen over fishing in the Dubo village, Thari Mirwah taluka, on Tuesday. The names of the injured could not be identified.

On the complaint of Gulzar Jiskani, the police registered a case against Safar, Mumtaz and Pehalwan Shar.

Meanwhile, Ghulam Nabi Solangi was injured in a clash between two groups of the Solangi tribe in the Shah Ji Machine village near Ranipur.
