KGC champions

KARACHI, April 1: Karachi Golf Club (KGC) edged out DHA Golf Club to capture the Sindh Classic golf tournament played here the other day.

Murtaza Qasim-Mujtaba Bilal, Sohail Rana-Rehan Mirza and Tariq Alam- Munawar Raza represented the winners.

The individual team championship was won by Altaf Hashmani and Faisal Maqbool. They were followed by Jawad Amjad-Samsam Qadir pair.

Sohail Rana (77) claimed the individual gross score prize, followed by Omair Javed (78). Altaf bagged the best net prize with his (66), ahead of Javed (70).

Faisal Jafri (286 yards) snatched the longest drive competition while the nearest to pin at 1’-7” was achieved by Hyderabad’s Tahir Janjua.
