ISLAMABAD, April 1: The United States embassy on Tuesday directed non-immigrant visa applicants to obtain a token from the courier services to gain entry into the consular section.

The applicants would need to present the tokens from the couriers, the American Express or Gerry’s Federal Express, said a press release.

The requirement applies to all applicants, including those who have been asked to return with additional documentation, H1B applicants and students.

Those who had applied using the old application forms and photographs prior to March 1 should submit the new application form with a new photograph, it said.

The embassy announced that all passports would be returned to the courier service for collection by the applicant.—Staff Reporter
