Dacoit killed by villagers

SHEIKHUPURA, March 31: A dacoit was stabbed to death on Monday by villagers in the jurisdiction of Saddar police station.

Mushtaq and Shahbaz were searching their stolen cattle when they were intercepted by four dacoits near Chak 119-RB. The villagers overpowered one of the dacoits and stabbed him to death.

Seeing their accomplice in a pool of blood, the remaining three took to their heel. Later, the deceased dacoit was identified as Ijaz alias Jaji. He was wanted by police in various heinous crimes.

LOOTED: Four dacoits on Monday looted a house and took away cash and valuables worth Rs1.5 million in Sultanpura, Muridke.

Armed bandits barged into the house of Muhammad Hussain, held the inmates hostage, scooped cash, ornaments, valuables and escaped.

Muridke police are looking into the matter.
