LHC seeks report from NAB

LAHORE, March 31: An appellate bench of the Lahore High Court on Monday sought a report from the NAB regarding a reference against former deputy secretary of labour, Mirza Abid Baig, for April 7.

The court directed NAB prosecutors Ali Tipu Khan and Bilal Khan to seek instructions and report to the court.

The appellant moved a bail application through Ghazanfar Ali Syed submitting that he was arrested in a reference of Rs1.8 million misappropriation while he has no concern with it.

He submitted that he was suffering from heart problem and a medical board recommended his surgery which was not possible while in the NAB custody.—APP
