DADU, March 31: The federal minister for industries and production, Liaquat Ali Khan Jatoi, has claimed the Legal Framework Order is a part of the Constitution.
Speaking at a public gathering in the Khanpur town on Monday, he said opposition parties should accept the LFO in the interest of the country.
About remote areas of the country, the minister said the government was giving priority to the development of these areas.
He said small dams would be constructed in kutcho area.
Mr Jatoi directed government officers to solve problems of people. He said officials against whom he received complaints would be suspended.
The minister also condemned the US attack on Iraq.
Later, Mr Jatoi held a meeting with officers of various government departments at the Betto Jatoi rest house.
DCO Ejaz Mangi briefed him about development schemes being carried out in the district.
SHOT DEAD: Fifty-year-old Ranjha Bhand was shot dead by his relative, Hakim Bhand, over a matrimonial dispute in the Allah Ditto Bhand village, Mehar taluka, on Monday.
The Mehar police, after registering a case, arrested Hakim.
boy killed: A 10-year-old boy, Mohammad Hussain, was killed on Sunday after one of the passengers of a bus tried to resist robbers at the Khairpur-Nathan Shah Mado link road.
Three unidentified outlaws were robbing passengers of a bus after blocking the link road, when a villager, Aijaz Ali, offered some resistance. He was beaten up by the outlaws.
Later, they opened up fire on the bus passengers, injuring the boy. He was rushed to the taluka hospital in Khairpur Nathan Shah where doctors pronounced him dead.
Meanwhile, DPO Ali Akbar Bhangwar has suspended ASI Khan Mohammad Abro, in-charge of the police post at Mado, along with eight other policemen, on charges of failing to control the rising rate of crime.
