ISLAMABAD, March 31: Pakistan is receiving uninterrupted supply of oil from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates despite the Iraq war, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Nauraiz Shakoor said.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, the minister said Pakistan still had oil reserves enough to cater for domestic needs for up to 30 days.
He said prices of petroleum products had been reduced by 15 per cent due to their sudden decrease in the international market.
He hoped that the prices will further decline if the war stopped over the next few days. “However, if it drags on, the prices could rise again,” he said.—Staff Reporter
