SIALKOT Preparations are underway in full flow to ensure a smooth 46th National Volleyball Championship scheduled to be held in Sialkot this year, according to Organising Secretary, Sohail Khawar Mir.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Sohail said the upcoming volleyball championship would start from April 10 to 17 and the matches would be played at Talab Sheikh Maula Bukhsh court under floodlights.

As many as 20 provincial and departmental teams will be participating in the event, he said.

He added volleyball had become an identity of the city because seven players of zone led the national team for 25 years and currently many players from representing Pakistan were from Sialkot.
