LAHORE Olympian Shafqat Malik has also been inducted as assistant coach of the national hockey team for the conditioning camp being held in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers that commences at the National Hockey Stadium here on Tuesday.
Shafqat will assist head coach Shahid Ali Khan, who already has another assistant coach in Shahbaz Junior.
The first phase of the camp will continue till Dec Sept 10. The second phase begins after Eid.
Pakistan Hockey Federation's national selection committee has already announced 31 players for the camp.
