KARACHI Zahid Ahmad's second half strike gave Karachi Port Trust a 2-1 victory over PIA in the Pakistan Premier Football League at KPT Stadium on Sunday.

While it seemed the first half would remain goalless, the winners finally opened the scoring few seconds before the halftime whistle through substitute Shakir Taj.

PIA equalised after lemon time when Shakir Lashari came into action in the 59h minute. But it was all PIA could give as KPT fired home the winner through Zahid in the 68th minute.

NBP will play KESC at Shadab ground on Monday.
