PESHAWAR, March 28: Pakistan People’s Party (Sherpao) MPAs, Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao and Arshad Khan, have condemned the massacre of innocent people of Iraq as a result of heavy aerial bombardment the US-led coalition.

In a joint statement here, they asked the UN Security Council and the OIC to play their due role in stopping the bloody war and to bring an end to the killing of innocent people. The PPP-S leaders condemned the bombing on civilian population. They deplored that the US was out to linger its aggression in Iraq. Members of the NWFP assembly castigated the US war designs saying the whole world had rejected this unscrupulous war against Iraq.

Calling for ceasefire, the PPP-S leaders demanded of the international community especially the UNSC permanent members to help halt war on Iraq. They apprehended that the escalating war would add to the sufferings of innocent masses. They urged the world community to use their influence to stop hostilities against Iraq.

They also appealed to the international community to provide relief assistance to the people of Iraq on emergency basis.
