LAHORE The Pakistan junior hockey team beat Italy by 4-0 in the last pool match of the five-nation junior hockey tournament in Cairo, Egypt, on Thursday.

According to the information received here from Egypt, Pakistan led by 1-0 at the end of the first half.

Forward Syed Adeel Hussain scored two goals in 28th and 38th minutes while forward Mohammad Taufeeq and halfback Amir Shahzad scored one goal each while converting penalty corners in 47th and 53rd minutes, respectively.

Pakistan will face Egypt in the final match to be played at 5.30pm (PST) on Friday.
