KARACHI Top four seeds Aqeel Khan, Asim Shafik, Jalil Khan and Nomi Qmar eased into the next round of Men's singles event in the National Hard Court Tennis Championship without any strong resistance from their opponents at Modern Club here on Sunday.

 

However, Yasir Khan, Sindh Ranking Tennis Champion, had to do hard work to overcome his opponent Abdul Majid. Though Yasir won first set with little ease, however Majid came back strongly in second to record 6-4 and 7-6 victory.

 

First round of Boys U-17 matches was also played in which 15 players made their way to next round.

 

Young Aqeel Khan, Murad Khan, Faraz Faiz and Ahsan Shahid were among those who made their way to next round of Boys U-13 category.
