THATTA, July 25 The Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz chairman Bashir Khan Qureshi said on Saturday that the establishment was bent upon killing nationalist parties' activists and warned the government's days were numbered.

Speaking to journalists after burial of his party leader Mushtaque Khaskheli at Makli graveyard, Mr Qureshi said that the establishment was afraid of unity of nationalist forces.

He advised representatives of the smaller provinces and leaders of nationalist parties to jointly move the UNO and ask the USA to stop sending dollars to Pakistan for war on terror as the money was being utilised against Sindhi nationalist parties.

He said that Sindhis had become fed up with a sense of deprivation, usurpation of their resources, poverty, unemployment and militancy and were struggling to wrest back their rights.

He said that his party workers caught red handed the assailant who claimed to be on the payroll of law enforcement agencies. They also found his official identity card and the weapon and handed them over to police, he said.

Mr Qureshi said that he was not sure about getting justice because he believed that the PPP would never act against the interests of Punjabi leadership.

Mr Qureshi said that Sindhis would continue to struggle for the rights. JSQM Secretary General Dr Safdar Sarki, SNP Chairman Amir Bhambro, Dr Niaz Kalani, Asif Baladi, Zain Shah, Shafi Karnani and other nationalist leaders also attended the burial.

Earlier, hundreds of activists of different nationalist parties arrived in Gharo to attend the last rites of Khaskheli.

Khaskheli, 32, served the party for more than 12 years.

The Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party chairman Dr Qadir Magsi said in his comments on Khaskheli's death that Sindh was heading towards a point of no-return.

He said that Benazir Bhutto was eliminated because she was more inclined towards smaller provinces, cause of Sindh and was debating against Kalabagh dam and other anti-Sindh projects.

He demanded formation of a judicial commission headed by Justice (Retd) Rana Bhagwandas to unearth facts behind killings of activists of nationalist parties.

Sindh Culture Minister Sassui Palijo described it as a conspiracy against Sindh.
