RAWALPINDI, Oct 10: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is planning to introduce new housing schemes in collaboration with the private sector to facilitate the investors and to generate revenue for the authority.

This was informed at an RDA meeting which was presided over by the District Nazim, Raja Tariq Kiani.

The meeting was also attended by the RDA director-general, Yasir Ahmed Gohar and other officials.

Mr Kiani directed the authority to ensure all required services and amenities in the housing schemes.

He also directed the RDA officials to provide all information and details to those who wanted to register their housing schemes.

This would enable them to get maximum facilities. It will also safeguard the money of the those who want to invest in these schemes.

The plan aims to strengthen the financial health of the RDA since it did not have enough financial resources to launch these schemes.
